Downtown San Diego Engagement Session

First, the Engagement Session

I met up with Zibby and Will in downtown San Diego for their engagement session. We started out with some incredible craft cocktails at You and Yours Distillery, then ran around the East Village and Gaslamp Quarter and ended the session dancing on a rooftop while watching the sun go down.

Downtown San Diego gets prettier every time I shoot there. The brick buildings, market lights and modern architecture with vintage interiors serve as gorgeous backdrops, especially when the sun is dipping just below the skyline.

Engagement sessions are really just a date night – one in which I tag along and take your photos along the way. Whether your ideal date night involves getting cocktails downtown, strolling on the beach, or snuggling up at home, we can turn that date night into a fun engagement session. My goal is to make you comfortable doing something that you love, because it results in more natural and romantic engagement photos. Plus, it’s always rewarding when my clients tell me how much fun their engagement session was. I am getting to be *pro* at third-wheeling.

Next, the Wedding

Zibby and Will are an adventurous and entrepreneurial couple. So obviously their wedding will be no ordinary event. They are getting married in the English countryside in a 12th century manor. I am so fortunate to be joining them on their destination wedding.

I love shooting weddings and engagements here in beautiful San Diego. But anytime I can combine photography with my love for travel, I absolutely will. Needless to say, I am insanely excited to be shooting their wedding later this year in what will be a tour of the UK, with various shoots and adventures along the way.
