Autumn Wedding in the English Countryside at Brinsop Court Estate

In the fall, I was swept away to the English Countryside for Zibby and Will’s fairytale wedding. Nestled in the hamlet of Brinsop, just outside of Hereford, sits the fourteenth-century manor, Brinsop Court. Not only did I photograph this destination wedding, but I also had the pleasure of staying in this medieval estate throughout the week along with the wedding guests. We spent our time exploring a labyrinth of living quarters and acres of woodland, all while being taken care of with the most impeccable and discreet service. It is no wonder why Brinsop was named one of the top 100 wedding venues in the world.

Zibby and Will flew in from California along with about 30 of their nearest and dearest for their destination wedding. Along with their guests, they enjoyed planned activities throughout the wedding week as well as downtime to explore the countryside. Zibby was very organized and communicated well with her guests making sure everyone was comfortable, entertained, and well-fed. It was truly a fun and memorable experience for all!

Wedding Morning at Brinsop Court – Bride Getting Ready Photos

One of the benefits of booking your wedding at Brinsop Court is that by staying the night, you have a nice stress-free morning. The bride woke up to a lovely breakfast in the beautiful French Bedroom, where she, her sisters, and girlfriends got ready for the big day. Then we took a stroll into the courtyard for some relaxed portraits.

Groom Getting Ready at the Ivy Cottage

Will, his brothers, and friends got ready at the Ivy Cottage, which is also on the grounds at Brinsop Court. The gentlemen had their own convenient and private space to celebrate and prepare for the day ahead.

Wedding Ceremony on the Lawn of Brinsop

There are so many spaces to choose from for you your ceremony at Brinsop. This croquet lawn turned out to be the perfect spot to catch that elusive afternoon autumn sun. With a beautiful view of Brinsop’s main house in the background.

Bride and Groom Portraits

We didn’t have to leave the grounds for anything all day. Bride and groom portraits were no exception. There are countless numbers of scenic locations at Brinsop. A quick 15 minutes was all we needed to stroll the grounds and create magic on this beautiful estate.

Reception Dinner in the Banqueting Hall

The medieval Banqueting Hall is one of the oldest parts of Brinsop Court. This space, decorated by the incredible Be Styled Events and Herefordshire Flower Studio, was breathtaking. It was the perfect setting for this intimate wedding dinner.

Dancing the Night Away

This party got started with dancing in the courtyard. But as the autumn night got too chilly, the party moved inside with cake cutting in the Queen Anne Dining Room, followed by more dancing and bartending by the groom in the Games Room. This estate has a room for everything! And perhaps the best part was that everyone could dance the night away and celebrate into the wee hours of the morning without worrying about getting home. Everyone just staggered up to their rooms as the night wound down.
