Photographing Jenni and Nick’s engagement session in the Marin Headlands was just a dream. Although I’m based in Southern California, I shoot weddings all over the state (and the world for that matter). So heading to the Bay Area is something I do often.
Being stuck at home all this time has really made me appreciate… well, so many things. But especially, travel. For the first time in over a year, I boarded a plane for San Francisco. It felt so good to be back at it! Traveling, meeting people and shooting weddings again. And in one of my favorite cities: San Francisco.
Just across the Golden Gate Bridge is the Marin Headlands, a beautiful lush green hilly wilderness area, and so close to the city. With miles of trails and dozens of stunning beaches, this was a perfect location for an engagement session adventure!
We started their engagement shoot on this beautiful trailhead in Sausalito, where the light was magical and everything was so green. Next we headed to the rolling hills of the Headlands, then to Black Sands Beach, and ended the day at the Golden Gate Bridge. I can’t wait to come back to Northern California for their Napa wedding this fall!
